Excited to highlight one of my favorite small businesses, @beeseasonalhoney. Bee Seasonal aims to source honey made by natural and organic beekeeping. By partnering with responsible beekeepers that follow organic production guidelines, they support sustainability and a more transparent food chain. ⁣ ⁣ We made this plate with four honeys from their Harvest 001, sourced from Brazil. It’s officially been six months freelance. Taking a minute to reflect on the past few months. For almost six years, @ThatCheesePlate was my space to escape from my fast-paced life in the music industry. It was my little passion project, connecting friends, family and providing me an activity that encouraged creativity and gratitude. Cheese plates are still my form self-care, but when you turn your passion to a business, everything changes a bit. There’s a lot more pressure to succeed. ⁣ ⁣ Sometimes I need to just take a minute to reconnect. Sharing these cheese plates in person with friends and with you on Instagram brings me so much joy. This little plate here was inspired by that feeling, and keeping that feeling alive. I blasted some music, settled into my workspace and did what I do best. Never forget the passion that drives you. 🥓 HOW-TO PROSCIUTTO RIVER 🥓 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Another frequently requested tutorial! The prosciutto river is even easier than the salami river. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 1 - Take a slice out of the package, gently fold in your hand and place on the plate. If the slices are a bit larger, you can cut them in half first.⁣ 2 - Once the prosciutto travels from one side to the other, option to add another layer for extra thickness.⁣ 3 - Use your hands to make a curved shape.⁣ ⁣⁣ Thank you @creminelli for all of the delicious meats! #ThatCheesePlate

This page has spread like wildfire and I want to thank you all for following along! I’m Marissa Mullen, the gal behind @thatcheeseplate and @cheesebynumbers. I started @thatcheeseplate six years ago to document my cheese plate creations in college. Over the years, this morphed into a community of cheese lovers from across the globe. I then created @cheesebynumbers as a resource to show that cheese plates don’t have to be so intimidating. By breaking down the process step-by-step, anyone can make a beautiful cheese plate creation I worked in the music industry for the past decade where countless late nights and weekend travel were the norm. When I did have time off, I’d make cheese plates as a way to decompress and focus on the present moment. Cheese plates encourage creativity, bring people together and can be a calming therapeutic outlet. I ended up leaving my job in music two months ago to go full time cheese, currently writing a cookbook (with 60 brand new Cheese By Number maps) and teaching workshops around NYC and beyond So take your passion and run with it.
